Congratulations Greg.+ After an exciting season our skier Greg Paturau won the tournament. The last race day was windy with strong clouds covering the sky. The sea appeared black beyond the reef and the waves look ominous. This didn’t distract all the skiers … The heroes they all are. The boats that pull them, engines screaming jump the waves at full speed, the gladiators on their skis, strong and determined pack closely together as the race begins. After 10 mins the faster boats pull ahead, some neck and neck, taking off into the air and the skiers, determined, cut the wake of the engines.

Grand Bay, Trou aux Biches, then Bain Boeuf,a full 3 laps.After the excitement, the cheers the skiers and friends all congratulate each other, joke and describe their experiences. Fantastic, awesome, a great competitive and daring sport. Peace Angels now looks forward to another adventurous season hoping to have more competitors in our team.

National Ski Racing is new in Mauritius, and started this year. It is a water ski competition organised by a young dynamic Water ski practitioners aiming at bringing this extreme sport discipline to National Level, and Beyond. It’s the first of a kind in Mauritius.

First race of the season! What a day, congratulations to Greg for a magnificent race.

Greg made a great start to the race, getting out of the water in first position. |He was followed by Karl Bouic for the majority of the race and Greg managed to keep ahead!

Driven by Jean-Claude Labat and Dominique Paturau, Greg was in commanding position and finished the race in pole position, just in front of Guillaume Robert.
Unfortunately the pilots made a couple of miss-turns around the buoys and lost 20 % of their mark and the Peace Angels Racing Team finished 5th on the day!

Good luck for next time and hope to have the same thrill again.
